Silvia Tcherassi is a designer with a real sense for material. She has created collections inspired by art, architecture, objects, emotions and visionary women, amongst others. But for this textural and artistic collection, she wanted to only focus in fabrics: the true starting point of her creative process. Her trick was to give heavy materials such as tweed, wool and velvet an air of lightness and freshness. The strategy plays out in sharp tailored coats, trousers and jackets, mixed and matched with voluminous blouses with twisted details. A delicate lower motive featured in some garments and accessories represents her signature of effortless elegance and a luxuriously casual, too. Flowers appear also in the night component of the collection enhancing silhouettes expressed in very rich but not ostentatious fabrics. From heavy to light, from neutrals to bright colors, from matte to shiny, this collection showcases her ability to balance extremes, a needed approach beyond fashion.
